Lead additives - another forum post

Not doubting the reply made, but have not heard of this one before - also is necessary if tractor is mainly used for brush cutting and light wagon hauling? Jim Dave, no if you are only going to use it for very light duty (like parades or play), Yes if you are going to work it hard. You can also use a quart of non-detergent motor oil in each tank full instead of lead additive. If you use lead additive go easy on it, that stuff likes to foul spark plugs. Next time you grind the valves on it have hardened valve seats installed, then you won't need a lead additive.
