Jrry, I have a 584 and that series kept its value pretty well. Most 584's that are decent will still fetch 10 grand, so a 684 in good working condition should be equivalent or more. The problem is its not running. I would try this: Make him an offer on the tractor as if it was working well, then if he agrees , get the tractor repaired and deduct the repair from the price. He will have to agree to this before hand, otherwise I would not buy it not running with no guarantee that it will run and run well.
