My SMTA-LPG has the belt pully atatchment and the lever is indeed on the left as stated earlier by the other fellow...it also shows it there in the original owners manual as well as the parts manual.

And to the other fellow...The 54 version of the M was SMTA. There was nothing less than that. You are also correct about the credit for TA delete. There was also an otion of no IPTO. So the circular decal is for a TA delete only. All others should have the winged one. DREW
