IH sold alot of 2+2 tractors. They built over 11,500 of the 30-60-Super 70 series tractors combined. They were not plagued by mechanical problems any more than any other tractor. The problem with most of them was the driver. They thought they had bought a baby STEIGER and ran it as such. They were row crop tractors, not baby STEIGERS. When used for row crop farming, the 2+2 would walk all over any other comparable HP fwa tractor made. The poor farm economy of the 1980's killed EVERY brand of tractors sales too, not just the 2+2.
