If you mow clockwise around your yard the left wheel is always on mowed ground. Since they are LH discharge that makes the most sense anyway. I have an L306 (72") on a BN and it handles it just fine in 2nd gear, but I mow every 2-3 weeks. If you left it go longer, you'd have to use 1st gear.
