Had the same thing.

Blown O-ring in one of the pressure ports of the MCV. Took
longer to drain the oil, pull the valve apart, hee and haw about
what it might be than it did to actually pop in a new o-ring and
put it all back together.

Could be other stuff too, just my experience.
