As far as the truck engine you're referring to, the C-221, C-263, and C-301 are derivatives od the SD-220 and SD-240 truck engines which debuted in the 1950 L-series International trucks. These engines begat the BD-220, BD-240, and the BD-264 later in the '50's, and in the '60's became the BG-221, BG-241, and the BG-265. [The BD-308 truck engine wasn't related to these engines, but was based on the BLD-269 family of engines].
