If your pedal has to be pushed all the way forward to shift, and iiiffff you have 3/4" free play at the released (foot off)position before it starts getting hard, It may not be adjustible any more. The clutch driven disk, or pressure plate may be comming apart. If it has a bunch of free play, adjust it to 3/4" to one inch at the beginning of the movement. JimN
