Technical Colleges. (part of the California State Colleges and University system) often take reasonable projects for student education. They usually have planned the semester, but many students are often in need of a compatible project with reasonable goals. The key is to go in with the idea that they will assist on their own time line. If the plans are clear, and they have the material presented to them in stock lengths (uncut) they will usually be more than willing to assist. (I teach metals at a University (SCSU in MN) and this would be a fine product for two students to tackle. As Wardner points out, their are strength requirements for the welds. The certified welding teachers in a vocational program would not have an issue with that. Highschool vocational programs might. If you want it done yesterday, it won't go over as well as if you give them a chance to tell you when it can get done. I am sending a few files in ProE schools format, Autocad Inventor format, and in Jpeg (picture) format. JimN
