JPatton: I think I'd get a second opinion on that weight. My 1066 was gear drive, ROPS cab, air and duals, and on this particular ocasion if I remember correctly 6 97# front end weights. My memory is a bit rusty, actually I'd sooner forget, but I think it came in under 11,000#. This was a fiasco at highway scales on a holliday weekend with 3 tractors on 2 trucks. He made us unload and reload 3 times. I'm certain when we arrived the truck with lone 656 and able to legally haul 10,000# was legal. I knew I was overweight with 1066 and Deere 540A forestry skidder, We left there with 1066 on small truck and 656 and Deere on the trailer. In my opinion when we left there we were both over weight. I think his Thanksgiving work schedule had him in a bad mood. We were there 3 hours, should have had an official weight for each tractor and each truck. After all that weighing I had the 656 with cab pegged at just under 7,000# and the other two just under 11,000# each. I'm thinking he officially had up to 10% tolerance to play with. Both of us 10% over was better in his eyes than one truck legal and one 20% over. I know we could have put either 1066 or Deere on small truck and satisfied him. At least he didn't want money. Someone must have shipping weights on these, I know some of the heavy chassis 06, 56 and 66 series tractors came in under 10,000# without cabs.
