I got drafted during the Vietnam conflict, in 1965. Took my basic in FT Devens, Mass. In the summer of 1966 we went over to Nam as a whole unit, all of the brigade. Went over on an old WWII troop boat, took us about a month to get there. We left Boston Harbor, went down to Panama Canal, and up to California. Stoped by Long Beach for supplies for one day, then across the Pacific Ocean. Last week, on November the 4th was forty years ago that I got the lucky hit. Got wounded. That was some experience for me. Happy Veteran's Day to all the vets. George
