Whats really changed is the piston design in the rebuild kits sold today VS 20 years ago or waht came stock,,. Todays pistons can out do most of the M&W parts in some cases. As for bolt on parts, look for a 450 gas head, 450 cam, (same as the Super M grind) put in a stiffer governor spring, fix, or modify the mechanical advance in the distributor, so it works, or works faster, just some little things that can be done in a weekend that come monday,, you will have a more powerful tractor, that dont require alot of money. but th best money spent is in the head, and cam,,, well worth the money.
