Several years ago a man brought an M to me.It had a Charlyn power steering but said it turns hard all the time.I found you could sqeal the belt against the stop. Removed the nose piece to find the top bolster shaft had almost worn thru the top cover,the lower bearing was completly gone and was binding, Trouble was with the front end not the power steering.
