For seats and standing on I like those 5 gallon oil pails. they make a good shop seat, yet uncomfortable enough that friends don't stay long enough to hold up your progress. Our local summer farm show doesn't have a lot of seating. Nice row of shade trees between tractors area and event area. I suggested we all be allowed and encouraged to take along a plastic oil pail for seating under the shade trees. They wouldn't hear of it, said no one would bother to take them home. Seating problem would turn into a garbage problem.
