Wear ring, front wheel Super A

Ordered overhaul sets for front wheels of my Super A at IH dealer. The wear ring (part number 49117D) is the thin sleeve like part on which the front wheel oil seal rides. The old one, nearly worn through, had a tight press fit in the wheel hub. The new wear ring has approximately 0.01 inch radial play and is really loose. Will it work if I glue the ring in place? Any and all help appreciated.
