I have an old pull behind rotary mower that has a large handle to lift or lower the wheels for height adjustment. Obviously it's quite a chore to lift or lower this unit because of the weight. I don't usually need to change the cutting height, but often I need to lift the mower to get off of a stump, rock etc. I was thinking off adding a hydraulic cylinder to the mower that would push the arm to raise the wheels. I'd like to plumb this directly off of the belly pump on my H. Question is regarding the hydraulic operation of the belly pump. Would plumbing a line directly from one of the outlets of the belly pump to the hydraulic cylinder, extend the cylinder when the belly pump is activated, then would the hydraulic oil return through the same line back to the belly pump so that the cylinder would retract from the gravity weight of the mower once the belly pump is deactivated? I guess I’m just trying for something simple without adding a control valve. Thanks in Advance, Jim
