Turn the switch on, take the distributor cap off, take a screwdriver and open/close the points. You should see a small spark at those points. If no spark at the points, you have no primary and need to check the voltage in, the points, the condenser or your ground. If you have a nice snappy spark at the points, the problem is in the secondary. The "opening" of the points is what triggers the coil to discharge. If you have no spark at the coil tower, problem is the coil. If you do have spark at the coil tower, put the distributor cap back on and follow that route out of the coil to the coil wire, into the distributor cap, the rotor, out to the plug wires or the plugs. You're loosing it somewhere, be it on the primary side or on the secondary. Be sure your battery is up. Allan
