Ron: At the time my 560 played out in 1978, dealer had a 3 year old 766 diesel with roughly 1,800 hours. I had both 1066 and 656 at the time. Unlike Allan, I was quite impressed with the 766. It had been traded for a new 1086, I knew the owner and knew it would have been serviced well. It was no 1066, but was a lot more tractor than my 656 diesel. Our dealer sold a lot of those 766s, many of them got cranked up to a 100 hp and worked that way. Long term, at least in our area that 360 had a better reputation than 414 or DT414. It will have dual shaft pto giving both 540 and 1000. I'll bet it will be better on fuel per hp than a 9 or 10.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
