Gene and Nat2, I just got off the phone with Lee Grady the guru at Wisconsin Historical. There were FA only designations but most were FAA even without the adjustable front. Also a second plant was built in Louisville that went on line in late 1946? and made model A series tractors beginning with serial number 200,001 through 220,089 and sold in 1947. These could be any variant of A and not Super A's which began after that serial number along with the C. In addition the Chicago plant continued production of A model series to serial number 198,298, also for 1947 then they switched to crawlers. He also said that by the mid 40's McCormick was the lead name and Deering had backed out but the name was still used for many years for marketing purposes.
