SDE, I think you are better off with a waterproof switch. My reasoning is that I have seen many many rusted water dammaged switches ment to be used on the dash of cars. I would put the switch in a plastic, or aluminum mini box (from Radio Shack, cheap) use a strain relief on the wire hole, and use double stickie foam on a convienient side to stick it to the side of the dash in a handy location out of the path of movement. Use a full side covering of the foam tape to assure good adheasion, and clean the flat painted surface to stick it on with a bit of laquer thinner to assure there is no wax, grease, or oxidized paint to help it come off. That is my best plan that doesnot make holes in the dash or Bat box. I would connect the power lead to the starter solenoid battery connection with a large crimp on connector, and shrink tubing. It should be fused for about 15 amps inline to prevent fires. Good luck, I hope this helps, JimN
