AFAIK, there is no "timing" to this planter. The wheels turn a shaft which turns a chain which turns a shaft which turns a right-angle gearbox which turns a shaft which turns a gearbox which turns the planter plate. It"s all one continuous motion. Either the plate turns, or it doesn"t: 1.If it"s not dropping seeds, the plate isn"t turning. 2. If it"s dropping a bunch of seeds in one spot, then no seeds for a long ways, the chute from the seed box to the opener is clogged. 3. If it"s dropping seeds sometimes, the plate is only turning sometimes. That means something is broken. Watch the shafts that run back to the seed boxes. If they"re turning, then the gearbox that turns the plate is broken or not meshing correctly.
