I did a lot of field work with our family M. I don't recall anything we did where we considered 4th gear too slow. Yes, there is a gap from 4th to 5th but it is certainly workable. I'm not sure what you are wanting to do with your tractor, but I would think there are far better places to spend your money than an extra gear or messing with with different size rims. Now, a hand clutch,that might be worth spending a little extra on.....
