Well, I guess I'll join in with one or two of my own. How about when a classified ad reads "FOR SELL-1949 Farmall M".....then someone writes them and asks "Did ya sale that there tractor yet?" Maybe it's a regional pronunciation thing, but it makes one want to lock those people in a cell on a boat and let them sail away. Another one, kinda off-topic, is when someone writing a news story about a race, whether it's cars, horses, chickens, or whatever, writes something like the following: "Joebob crossed the finish line five car-links ahead of Billy Ray".......what the heck is a "car-LINK"???? It's supposed to be "car-LENGTH". Ok...I'm off the soapbox.....next!
