Hi, I have changed my H, over. You will get a little more power and snap from a battery ignition, just be sure it has the timing advance they put out for the fire crater pistons. All you need is a new ignition switch to go with it. Run a 12 gauge wire from the ammeter to the switch and then on to the coil, get it timed right and it will go. Good Luck, Chuck
