The hydraulic pump shown in the first picture I saw here is either a Behlen or an M&W. The factory IH pumps have the lines coming out of the bottom of the pump, Behlen and M&W have the lines coming out of the top.The pump from a super m should fit an m. I have a pump from a 400 on my SM as it has about 2gpm more flow capacity than my original IH pump.As for older M,s having to change the front timing cover, I have 2 sons that have a1942 and a 1944 M and both have been switched over to live hydraulics with factory IH pumps and no other changes were needed.
