A farmer I worked for in ND had a late-model 966 with the 436 in it. Powerful bugger, and a fuel hog!

I agree on the engine speed, I like my diesels around 2100 RPM - always thought that maybe that was the reason the 806 diesel went 15000 hours before overhaul and the 1086 needed the OH at 7500 hrs...
