Glyptal is the paint that is used on the inside of engines, cases, electric motors, etc. It has execellent adhesion and provides a slick surface for oil to return quickly to the oil pan. It seals the porous surface of the interior of the block. IHC used a red glyptal, but a friend gave me a gallon of black. At about $60 a quart, I'm not going to worry about the color. Do a search on Glyptal to find more information and sources for it. Good stuff! I must say, one more benefit about painting the inside of your engine is how well you must clean it to insure the paint will stick. I got stuff out that I though the machine shop hot tank would have cleaned.
