Questions about a 560

Are the 560 gas tractors notorious for burning a lot of fuel? Are they as bad as a JD 3020 gasser. Do all 560s have live PTO or was this option? If the TA slips on the low side, can it still be used on the other side without problems? I am planning on running a small square baler with it, not doing much heavy work so I am thinking the TA won't be a problem.
