I WIRED A BN THAT HAD NO ELECTRIC,,TO BOB M`S #57 ILLUSTRATION(ELECTRIC STARTER AND LIGHTS). my gen. is a (completely rebuilt) 12 volts delco remy mod-1102096,,ser.9f 9.and looking at the rear of the gen. the post at 11 oclock is marked F and the one at 1 oclock is marked A. the original switch box was purchased from a gent. in western pa. and is a coil ignition. my problem is when i went to polarize the gen. i had no spark,,so i rechecked wiring several times and it is matched up to bobs m # 57. while checking i rotated the switch clockwise to 2nd position,,and at the 3rd. and 4th position the generator started turning like an electric motor,,as the belt is not on yet. is the problem my regulator ( and how to check if so ) or is it the rotary switch in the box. 9 and how to check if so ) .,. i have rewired many an old system in my years but that don`t mean im too old to learn, so please help me through this senior moment. may God bless.
