Hopefully u added the hydraulic fluid before u ran it. running the system dry is murder on the pumps. I doubt the pumps need primed, as the pump is below the resevoirs and any air would be quickly replaced with fluid. Maybe try to loosen the output of the pump and see if oil comes out. If it doesnt, maybe the pump gear is stripped or the fluid filter is clogged something bad. I'm not sure on the specifics of the 2 tractors you have, but these ideas should give you a starting point. Any things you have tried would be helpful.
