I was replacing the points, condensor in my Super A mag and was distracted by my buddies who stopped by and I took off the cover to the gears that reduce the rate of spin and reverse the rotation. When I took off the cover out came the gear with the cover. it was already too late by the time I realized what I did, How do I accurately re-time the rotor. I tried going to top dead center #1 until the mag snapped and adjusting the rotor to point at #1 spot on the cap but I do not feel that is very accurate since one tooth off makes a big difference. I could not find timing marks but did not look very hard. This motor was stuck and so I expect a very hard start and would like to eliminate the timing from the equation. P.S. this is the SA that some of you have helped me get this far, so thanks for any more help!!!
