Farmall H Oil Filter Sizes

I know there are 2 different size oil filters for the Farmall H the short one and the taller one. My question is, is it worth changing from a short version to the taller one ? To convert over to the tall one you need a longer center bolt and a taller oil filter metal outside cover, is it that noticeable and make a bigger difference in the way it cleans the oil? Or is it best to leave well enough alone and keep the short version ? Thanks, Mr.Farmall
