i replaced a few of the bolster and bushings on my m's. i used a pipe coupling, i think 1" or 1 1/4 and a piece of all thread to pull the seal in. lay a piece of iron with a hole drilled in it for the all thread across the top of the bolster, and set the seal n top of the pipe fitting. the pipe needs to be just a litle smaller than the outside diameter of the seal. a stack of washers will work too. be sure to clean up the shaft with emery cloth so the seal has a smooth surface to ride on. you can use the all thread to pull the bushings in too.
