Being on the west coast, I will offer some thoughts and others can add tomorrow. I suggest searching the archives as the topic is well covered. Typical issues are matching mounting holes in the cover plate with holes on the pump. The holes late model M's may work. The timing gears under the cover plate on older M's generally need to be replaced with newer stronger gears. And another thought, if you are going to work the tractor in the field, the drive train probably won't handle that much horse power.
