Ken: You've got a leak somewhere. I'd follow through on what jb2 has said, but don't overlook those lines and filters. I remember having a diesel doing the same. Several of us agreed the lines looked good, however when I changed the lines it cured the problem. I had another diesel with a crack in filter base, that one was not easy to find. In both these cases one could see the cracks with a naked eye. It took a magnifing glass to find them.
