thanks guys for your comments. This is a 18 day trip to Sydney from Los Angeles, with one stop in Auckland for a couple days, on a container ship. It's 14 hours on a plane, which I can't hardly stand the thought of or 18 days on the boat. All our ancient relatives made crossings from Europe so guess I could. If I do it I'll let you if I get off in mid ocean.
