As long as the correct valves are being used in that head, there should not be a problem. So, looking at an LP head, it will have a small combustion chamber. The top of the combustion chamber will come a lot closer to the piston. For it to reach the rocker assembly, it has to be long. For a kero head, the combustion chamber is quite a bit larger. The top of the chamber is much further away from the piston. With this head, the valve stem will be shorter. Now, the 8060, being the later gas head, the valve length will fall in between the two. Basically, kero head and low comp gas heads first. To keep as many parts the same, the dimensions of the head castings changed along with the valve length, but keeping the rocker assemblies the same. Same was done when the LP heads were developed with the 264 and 281
