If your looking for a cheap way out any craft store should have glass paint. You can paint the lense and i think you can even paint a clear bulb with some of the stuff. I"ve also seen some colored report covers and overhead projector slide material at the office supply store that maybe could be cut and fitted behind the lense. May want to test this stuff to be sure it doesnt melt from the bulb heat though.
