go ahead and get one as it bolts on same place the lower outlet goes. Be sure you get one with a pulley as you do not have one. Belt for C/with water pump also. Dont worry about a thermostat not needed. Slight mod will have to be made for the tightener on the gen. There are several around here with the woods mowers and no problems. You will probably have to do a little bending on the fan blades as they mite hit on the pumps shaft. I grind the shaft flush with the hub this helps clearing.
