Allan: After I set my tractor in from 84" for duals, I only ever had the duals off twice. First and last all in one operation. Why a even dropping in a plow furrow made you feel like you were going over. Seriously I found tread wear to be far less with duals on. My 1066 went through it's first set of tires in 1,000 hours running single, bias ply. I dualed it with same tire and got between 8,000 and 9,000 hours. My duals were the close space type, had them on both 560 and 1066. Any cultivating I did, I had a 4 row set up for my 130. My larger tractors were always busy with haylage at cultivating time. 130 was quite comfortable on 60" centers, and I could cultivate corn between milkings, and the boys just kept filling silos.
