I'm not sure what the largest or most modern narrow front was. I somehow can't imagine putting a narrow front under a 6 cylinder diesel, especially when you start getting into those 400 engines. You'd have to drive it on ashphalt or gravel roads almost exclusively. A 1066 had the ability to snap wheels off a wide front, if they happened to bog down in loose or soft soil. My 1066 had duals and this happened, operator said he experienced a front wheel bogging down in loose soil. At the time he was doing about 6 mph hitched to a 25' cultivator. I can assure this guy was not a cowboy, nor was he rough, just a good solid life long tractor operator that could make a seedbed look like a footballs field before the game on a dry day. He felt a snap, and by the time he got stopped the front wheel and broken 1/2 of spindle were under the cultivator. This happened twice to my tractor. I can only imagine one would have to gather up that narrow front almost weekly.
