By convertible, I think they may be refering to some tractors that were set up to run backwards, operator facing rear. To switch back to regular operation one step was to remove the geared drop housings from end of rear axle and a axle was left to put wheels back on. After the gear drops were off tractor would go forward in 1 trough 5 without any changes inside transmission.If this is what you have and converted the flanges to bolt drops on will still be present on axle housings. There not MV tractors. Im sure some fellows from the land of dixie can correct me or add more.
