766...Help! I've got the tractor buying itch!

Fellas, I"ve been looking at everything from 574"s to 3088"s. Retirement farm auction coming up, one owner 1975 766D, with Westendorf WL-42 QT loader to sell seperately that"s currently on the tractor. From the photos, looks to be very straight with faded paint. Other than overall visual condition i.e. wear points, condition of tires, fluid leaks etc. What specifically should I be looking for on this tractor? I"d love to test the TA but probably hard to do in an auction setting. You guys are the experts, so please lend me some advice. If I like it and take the plunge.....I promise pictures!
