We are doing the same thing, going from a 560 diesel to a 656 hydro gas. At the Nebraska tractor tests the hydro gas used 1.2 gph more fuel than the diesel under full load. Our's is mostly a haying and auger tractor so for us I think not having to wait on glow plugs will make up for the fuel use. If the engine ever dies on this 656 gas I'll be looking for an IH D-312 or a 3.9L Cummins to put in it. Our 560 diesel is great on fuel but I've come to the conclusion that if your going to have to deal with glow plugs you might as well have spark plugs.
