Several questions (no offense, it is needed to help correctly) How much do you know about gasoline engines? does it get run for more than an hour at a time? Does the tractor run well, or misfire on one or more cyl. Have you pulled the plugs to "read them" Things I would do. (after assuring oil in the engine is up to full, coolant is up to about 1.5 inches from the neck of radiator) 1] run it for an hour doing something important and working the engine. Observe the amount of smoke, and take notes. 2] If it smokes hard, I would pull the plugs and keep them in order then describe each in your notes as to color and substances on the working tip. 3] I would take a compression check on each cylinder (throttle open ignition off) write it in the notes. 4] get back to us for further analysis. all remaining ideas need this first info.
