Wide Open,I restore pre 39 farmalls,I ruined a good head by heating the studs like you did.Heating the head caueses the head to crack,Welding a nut on a stud is the best way for removal.Cracks can be fixed by a machine shop,Dont feel bad we have all done this,let it be a lesson
