I would unhook the battery take a reading with a hyd then charge and see if the hyd reading will show the 1260 or so on the hydrometer after charging. Let it set unhooked to see if the reading stays then when hooking the batt up check for a spark when last connection is made. Now you dont know if you have a bad charging system or a bad battery.
