Bob's right - you can take out everything from the clutch to the pto without splitting it. A manual (the IH Service Manual you can get from this website will give fairly good instructions) would be a big help, but if you need to get started before it gets there let us know, we've got answers. Often two diametric answers to the same question, but answers nonetheless.
