The drain and refill capacity is 6.75 pints. If you had a dry reservoir, in other words overhauled, the capacity is 8.25 pints. In any event the reservoir is filled to the bottom of the filler opening, with all controls, including the fast hitch cylinder in the retracted position. Air is removed with the filler plug out, move the touch control levers 10-12 times through their full range of travel.
