Matt, I agree with you that I think the front part of the cultivator is "mix and match" and the rest of it is a standard HM-221 (the rear half is unassembled and still wired together with aluminum lot tags). Funny thing is, that I saw the same gang attachment "knuckles" as mine on an old IH mounted cultivator at Meyer's Implement / Salvage in Elkhart, IN, today (!) But, unfortunately, it was incomplete and I couldn't see how the lift-pipes and brackets attached. It would be very helpful if you could check your 221 manuals and see if the model changed over the years. I would also very much enjoy seeing pictures of your cultivator. My e-mail is open (aswinehart@hillsdale.edu). If worse comes to worse, I plan to add a u-bolt to the front frame and attach the lift-pipe bracket to that. Thanks for your help! Tony
